NEWGASB Issues a Request for Response on Proposed Suggested Guidelines for Voluntary Reporting of SEA Performance Information
NEWGASB begins deliberations on the comments received on the Exposure Draft of an amendment of Concepts Statement No. 2, Service Efforts and Accomplishments Reporting
The comment period ended July 3, 2008. The public hearing was held on July 29, 2008. Board deliberations on an amendment of Concepts Statement 2 will continue throughout the remainder of the year. For more information, visit the GASB’s SEA Project Page.
NEWCommunity Report Card, "Examining the quality of life in Sarasota County through data and indicators."
SCOPE is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on building community connections. The organization' goal is to engage a diverse group of people in conversations to look at what we want our future to be instead of problem solving the past. Sarasota County has published a new report card for a different topic each month. The July 2008 report card addresses the question, “How healthy is our community?”

The Public Performance Measurement and Reporting Network
The goal of the Public Performance Measurement and Reporting Network is to promote the use of valid, reliable data as a key element in improving the delivery of public services. In support of the Network, the National Center for Public Performance has implemented a series of initiatives: a comprehensive and continuously updated database of publications and cases; national conferences and workshops; publications of measurement-based books and articles; an Online Public Performance Measurement Certificate; and a monthly e-newsletter.
