The Office of Management and Budget has a program, Montgomery Measures Up!, which focuses on reporting the performance of selected County programs and program elements by using a "family" of measures - Inputs, outputs, outcomes, service quality, and efficiency. It is a comprehensive attempt to clearly define what they are seeking to achieve for the community and then to measure their progress in achieving it. With leadership from the County Executive, the Chief Administrative Officer, and the County Council, Montgomery Measures Up! is part of an ongoing, long-term effort to make performance measures and performance measurement an integral part of the way Montgomery County manages its programs and reports its progress and achievements.
- Multnomah County, Oregon
Multnomah County Auditor's Office mission is to ensure that the County government is honest, efficient, effective, equitable and fully accountable to its citizens. Each year Service Efforts and Accomplishment Reports are released in various departments. One such report was a feasibility study.
- Prince William County, Virginia
The Office of Executive Management, Audit and Analysis Division conduct performance measurement and reporting for the county. They have produced several reports detailing the service efforts and accomplishments of its major service areas. Its most recent report covers the 1993-1998 period, and provides comparisons over time and with other jurisdictions.
