GASB project Discussion groups
Share information, ask questions, get opinions!
You can learn more about SEA performance management measurement, and reporting from people who are actively involved in creating, using, analyzing, assessing, and studying SEA performance measures for government.
If you are currently involved in SEA performance management, you can share your knowledge and enthusiasm with those who are just starting along the performance path or are discouraged and frustrated with the task.
You can subscribe to as many of the forums as you would like; your potential participation is unlimited!
How it works:
If you’ve been a part of a mailing list before, you know it can be a powerful tool for sharing information and knowledge, and building a dialogue among the various stakeholders on an issue.
If you’ve never participated in a mailing list before, the concept is quite simple. Once you’ve subscribed, you can send email messages to the mailing list, and those messages will automatically be distributed by email to all of the subscribers. You can also respond to messages you receive from the mailing list, just as you would any email, and all of the subscribers will get a copy. An archive of the messages can also be viewed on-line. This archive is "threaded," which means the messages are sorted by subject and listed hierarchically.
For example, an initial message asking for information about sanitation indicators would be listed in the archive and each response to that message would be listed below it and indented. Subsequent replies to those response messages would be listed beneath the pertinent response, and indented further. In this way, a reader can follow the "thread" of the discussion, even if they are not subscribed to the mailing list.
